Registration opens for Surtex

Penny Sikalis, GLM Vice President and Surtex show manager, announced this week that easy on-line registration and hotel reservations are now open for qualified attendees and trade visitors coming to the 2012 show on 20-22nd May.
As the only marketplace in North America dedicated to the sale and licensing of art and design for products of all kinds, Surtex annually draws some 6,000 manufacturers, retailers and other product developers from across the US and around the world.
Early reservations at select New York City hotels close to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center show site are also on offer at the Surtex website or directly available at www.myglmtravel.com.
Qualified attendees (art buyers and licensees) who register by the end of May 4, 2012, not only save the $60 on-site admission fee, but will receive ongoing updates as news develops about the show, including information about exhibitors, activities, and tools that will make their time in the market more productive.
"We're focusing on making it easy and cost-effective for qualified attendees to take advantage of everything Surtex has to offer," Sikalis pointed out. "The hotels are hand-picked - more than 50 New York City hotels have special reduced rates for all show participants, and there are no booking or service fees."
Hotels available for early registration range from budget chains and "trendy" independent hotels, to luxury brands and chic boutiques.
Also, to make it easy to get around, designated hotels will be accessible by shuttle buses to and from the Javits Center and other key destinations within Manhattan during the show, courtesy of Surtex.
